We are thankful for those who stand behind our fire fighters and help make our programs possible. If you have made a pledge on the phone or would simply like to contribute, please click the link below.
For more than 80 years, our fire fighters have proudly served their communities in their efforts to save lives and protect property. By contributing and receiving your supporter decal, you are helping us save lives. Although more than 4000 fire fighters are members of the PFFALA, our programs benefit every fire fighter and every resident in the state. By helping us, you are supporting the men and women who make Louisiana a safer place to live and raise our families. As fire fighters, we realize that we may need to go beyond the call of duty. That is a call we proudly rise to answer.

Anybody is allowed to make a team with a minimum of 10 players. You are not required to have a certain amount of males or females. The team does not have to be part of a police or fire department. It is completely open to the public, but would love to have as many fire and police personnel playing as possible. The team registration fee is $250.

This past weekend, at our state convention, we had in attendance representatives and guest speakers from Camp I'm Still Me pediatric burn camp.
Camp founder Dr. Kevin Sittig, Camp Director Eileen McLain, PFFALA Camp Liaison John Smith, as well as camp counselors, spoke of the amazing work being done at the camp and to the positive effect in the children's lives. Their stories, as volunteers and as those who've experienced severe burn injuries as children, attended the camp, and now volunteer as counselors, had a profound impact on our members in attendance. For more than 30 years the camp has provide a fun, safe environment for emotional healing and the formation of lasting bonds with other burn survivors. We are honored and blessed to be able to support the work of the Percy R Johnson Burn Foundation and Camp I'm Still Me, and grateful to those men and women who give so much of their time and love to make this endeavor possible. ... Last week, in support of our partnership with the American Heart Association - Louisiana, the PFFALA donated $30,000 earmarked for CPR and AED training as required of Louisiana public high school students. This is just part of our continued commitment to provide the training kits to high schools throughout the state. These kits are designed specifically for educators and allows students to learn basic CPR skills in less than 30 minutes. More than 90% of people who experience a cardiac arrest outside of the hospital will not survive. The goal of the AHA Nation of Lifesavers Initiative is to turn more bystanders into lifesavers. As firefighters, we feel that the need for this is critical and our proud to be part of this effort here at home. The skills learned by tens of thousands of Louisiana students whose training is made possible through our continued funding, will save lives for years to come. We are thankful for all of those who help make this possible. ... See MoreSee Less
